When Can you see Dolphins in Wales?
Dolphins are regularly spotted in Cardigan Bay and the West coast of Wales. They are seen throughout the year, most reliably between April - December each year.
What do we need to bring?

How Many people are on the boat?
The Anne Lloyd & The Sulaire both accommodate, and are licenced up to 12 passengers. As we only take a small number of passengers on each trip this allows all our passengers to ask as many questions to our skipper as you would like. You can move around the boat freely, and provides all passengers an opportunity to get up close and personal with our Cardigan Bay Dolphins.
Are dolphin boat trips safe for children?
Yes the boats are safe and secure for children but please watch children at all times. Life jackets are available and are provided in all sizes.
Can we bring OUR dog?
Yes, well behaved dogs are welcome on board
If I have a medical condition can I still go on a boat trip?
All boat can experience unpredictable movements that can aggravate medical conditions. You MUST inform us of such conditions especially back/bone or balance conditions and pregnancy. We’re not medical experts and the decision whether to continue with the trip will be entirely as your own risk.

If its bad weather will the boat still go?
In the event of us being unable to run our trips, normally due to adverse weather conditions, or due to any unforeseen circumstances, any deposits/payments will be returned in full. If you are available for a trip later in the week then we will try and accommodate you should there be spaces available.
DO WE NEED TO PREBOOK SPACES ON A TRIP?
We can become very busy so we do ask that you book in advance.
What do we need to wear?
We would advise that you bring warm clothes and flat footwear is recommended on the boats. Although we don't expect any adverse weather it's better to be prepared. In the summer we recommend you bring suncream!
What facilties do you have on the boats?
Both our vessels, 'Sulaire' and 'Anna Lloyd' are licensed and insured for 12 passengers and equipped with a part-sheltered deck, toilet and comfortable seating.
What wildlife, other than the bottlenose dolphins, do you see in the area?
Cardigan Bay is fantastic for wildlife. As well as bottlenose dolphins we regularly spot harbour porpoises and Atlantic grey seals (which breed in the area). The birdlife is excellent with sightings of Manx shearwaters, guillemots, razorbills, kittiwakes, fulmars, gulls, cormorants, shags, gannets, peregrine falcons, ravens and choughs.
Occasional sightings include minke whales, common and Risso’s dolphins, basking sharks, thresher sharks, porbeagle sharks, blue shark, sunfish and leatherback turtles.
